Halloween 2005

TASK Halloween Party

On October 31st, nearly 40 Trenton school children attended the annual TASK Halloween Party.

This was a smaller number than in previous years because, local churches - many for the first time - sponsored competing events for the children for reasons of safety.

Nonetheless, all kids and volunteers had a great time, as evidenced in our picture gallery.

First, all children participated in a parade around the dining room. After they had dinner, volunteers painted the kids' faces and then the kids decorated pumpkins.

Each child took home their decorated pumpkin, a treat bag, a stuffed animal or beanie baby, a small toy and a pair of sox.

Also, everyone eating at the soup kitchen got a popcorn hand, a treat bag and a homemade cupcake or cookies decorated for halloween. Any leftovers were served at Tuesday's lunch.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who provided pumpkins, treat bags, popcorn hands and cupcakes and cookies.
