Kick-off Dinner for 4th Annual Battle Against Hunger Bike Tour

On Saturday, March 11, Battle Against Hunger held a kick-off dinner for its fourth bike tour at St Matthew's Episcopal Church, Pennington, NJ

Chuck Inman, founder of Battle Against Hunger, spoke about the over-$50,000 that was raised in 2005 and how they hope to increase that substantially in 2006. Proceewds were divided between TASK and the Rescue Mission. In 2006, the Atlantic City Rescue Mission will be added to the list of benficiaries.

Dinner ws prepared by the Trenton Rescue Mission and included tossed salad, chicken in mushroom gravy, rice pilaf, Italian-seasoned green beans and an outstanding dessert table.

Speakers from the Rescue Mission moved diners with their stories of recovery from drug addiction and alcoholism.

The Battle Against Hunger Bike Tour is scheduled to take place from Sept. 8 through 10. Utilizing the least traveled roads between Pennington and Gettysburg, the 200-mile route includes flat, rolling, and hilly terrains and provides riders with breathtaking views of the Amish and central Pennsylvania countryside.
