5th Annual Battle Against Hunger Bike TourThe Battle Against Hunger Bike Tour is scheduled to take place from Sept. 9 through 9 Utilizing the least traveled roads when possible, the route chosen provides riders with breathtaking views of the Amish and central Pennsylvania countryside. The route is a combination of flat, rolling, and hilly terrain. Your physical condition is important and all riders should have ridden 300-400 miles (including one 75-mile ride) in the preceding 2 months before participating in this tour. Hotel accommodations, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and rest stop snacks are provided with tour registration. We provide support vehicles, transportation of your personal luggage, maps of each day's route, and lots of friendly volunteers. The arrival in Gettysburg has significant meaning for the tour organizers. Being on the sacred battlefields where our fellow Americans “battled” for the causes of their day inspires us to continue our Battle Against Hunger. On Sunday a bicycle tour of the battlefield will be provided for participants. Ample free time has been allotted for participants to explore this historic landscape.
