Charity Golf Tournament

On Sunday, September 30, 2007, the Olde York Ladies Golf Association and Olde York Country Club held their annual charity golf tournament. This year’s tournament was to the benefit the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen T.A.S.K. and The Miracle League of Mercer County.

Through the generous donations of Olde York Country Club, its Members and local businesses the Tournament raised $9,000.00 for these most worthy organizations. Both of these organizations depend almost entirely on the help of generous financial support from the community.

In addition to the funds that were raised, the members and their guests were also asked to participate in a clothing and hygiene products drive for T.A.S.K. The response was overwhelming with corporate and individuals contributing mush needed soaps, toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, deodorant and disposable razors.

The Washington Township Seniors also lent a hand by holding a hygiene products drive at the Senior Center.

The Miracle League is dedicated to providing opportunities for children with disabilities to play Miracle League Baseball, and to promoting the health and well being of individuals with disabilities.

T.A.S.K. provides more than 3,000 meals per week to people in need in the Trenton Area, in addition to helping patrons achieve healthier lifestyles, increased self-esteem, and self-sufficiency.
