TASK Says "Goodbye"
to Peter Wise

March 2, 2007 marked Peter Wise’s last day as TASK Director, and patrons and staff honored him with a luncheon at TASK and a party at the Old Country Buffet.

After serving in the position for 8 and a half years, Peter had announced his decision in November. At that time, he said, “It’s been a real gift to do this work. For me, it’s been a truly amazing journey. I have deeply mixed feelings about leaving here”.

During the lunchtime meal at TASK on Friday, the dining room was decorated, patrons were served a special "favorite lunch" and everyone had a special "thank you" cake. Patrons, volunteers and guests took the opportunity to thank Wise for his years of service.

"I am very grateful for the years I have been at TASK”, Peter Wise reflected. “While the need for TASK's services continues to grow, the good news is that TASK is positioned to provide those services through the faithful support of many people and organizations in the region. I am very proud to hand the baton to the next TASK Director, Dennis Micai".

Next the staff repaired to the Old Country Buffet where Peter was the guest of honor. Staff presented him with many gifts, some of which were inside jokes, and thanked him for his leadership and inspiration.

Peter intends to spend these next few weeks enjoying some much-deserved relaxation. He also plans to remain active by volunteering.
