Riders Needed for 3rd Annual Battle Against Hunger Bike Tour

bike riderArea bicyclists are invited to learn about and register for the Battle Against Hunger Bike Tour scheduled to take place from Sept. 9 through 11. Utilizing the least traveled roads between Pennington and Gettysburg, the 200-mile route includes flat, rolling, and hilly terrains and provides riders with breathtaking views of the Amish and central Pennsylvania countryside.

A team of 15 riders from last year's event is returning, and there are 20 slots available for new registrants. Riders are provided with training guidelines and are encouraged to participate in scheduled training rides and clinics.

The bike tour is the third annual event for which all proceeds will be given to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) and the Rescue Mission of Trenton.

Additional information – including a registration form – can be obtained on the bike tour web site, www.battleagainsthunger.org , or by calling 732-274-9514. Prospective riders also can speak with last year's riders at the bike tour's booth at Communiversity on Saturday.
