20 ways to help TASK
This year's Holiday Gift Distribution took place on December 28th and 29th . The adult give away was staged in the front conference room, while the children's give away was held in the small front conference room.
On Monday, December 28^th and Tuesday, December 29th a combined total of 913 adults went through the gift line and received gifts. Each adult received a pair of socks, a hat, a scarf, and a pair of gloves. Eventually, all of the gloves and scarves were distributed and patrons only received a hat and a pair of socks. In addition, each adult was able to choose one product out of the following: a thermal, a towel set, a blanket or a hooded sweatshirt. Each patron also received two or three shirts or blouses as well as one gift. Gifts included hygiene kits, video games, candy, coats, sneakers, and lotions.
For the Children's give away each day, a child received a hat, a scarf, and a pair of gloves. They also got to choose three toys from an assortment of games, puzzles, action figures, dolls and books. Each child also received a stuffed animal as well as a holiday candy cane bear. A total of 55 children received gifts.
Our gift distributions were made possible through the generous donations of the community. On Monday, Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church from New Hope, PA volunteered to help administer the give away. On Tuesday, St. Catherine of Siena Church from Pittstown, NJ volunteered to help during the give away. We thank both Thompson Memorial and St. Catherine of Siena for their time and effort to help this event run smoothly.
