TASK mourns the passing of Henry Weiss

Henry was a valuable tutor in our Adult Education Program and played an instrumental role as a Board Member, especially in TASK Strategic Planning.

TASK mourns the passing of Henry Weiss, instrumental member of TASK's Board of Trustees, valuable volunteer AEP tutor, and good friend. To pay tribute to this wonderful man, TASK's Board of Trustees has dedicated an annual scholarship in his name for a student who graduates from our Adult Education Program (AEP) and plans to continue his/her education.

Henry will be missed.

Henry Weiss TITUSVILLE - Henry Weiss, 84, died Tuesday, May 3, at home following a battle with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Henry was a longtime resident of the area. He graduated from City College in New York and went on to pursue his master's degree at Columbia University.

Henry spent most of his working life in marketing and retired from Wheatland Tube Company in Philadelphia, as their vice president of marketing. While Henry had a love of travel, was an avid reader and a longtime tennis player, his greatest passion in life was to charitable work for those in need. He worked with the Community Without Walls (CWW) in Princeton and was a member of the board of directors for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dori Spielberg Weiss of Titusville; his daughter, Karen Potocki and her partner, Mike Hrycyk, of Silver Spring, MD; his son, Jon Weiss of Oakland, CA and his son, Andrew Weiss and his partner, Debbie Reichard, of Hopewell, NJ. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Dan Potocki of Brooklyn NY, Brian Potocki of Falls Church, VA and Rachel Potocki of Queens, NY. Funeral services are Friday at 11 a.m. at Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Rd., Ewing. Burial will follow at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, 545 Eggert Crossing Rd., Ewing, NJ. The period of mourning will be observed Friday through Sunday evening at the Weiss' home in Titusville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), P.O. Box 872, Trenton, NJ 08605.
