20 ways to help TASK
Making a commitment to go to school, study, and learn isn't easy, especially when you are an adult. On Friday, August 26th, TASK's Adult Education Program held its annual Student Recognition Breakfast to celebrate the individuals who choose to pursue their education through our program. The morning was filled with delicious breakfast made by the TASK kitchen staff, music from The FunkTASKtiks, inspirational remarks from Dennis Micai (TASK Director) and Peg O'Halloran (Director of Programs), poetry by The SHARE Project, and a presentation of a Certificate of Recognition to all students.
Sergio Boechat Pinto was awarded the scholarship in honor of Peter Wise, former TASK Director; George Gordon received the scholarship in memory of Henry Weiss, late TASK Board Member; and Hampton Jenks & Dennis Floyd both received scholarships from the Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community in memory of John Young.
Congratulations to all our students! You work very hard and we are proud of you.
