Now Hiring!! FULL TIME CASE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT - 37 Hours per week

TASK is looking for an energetic, organized, compassionate, and detailed-oriented person to support our Patron Services as Case Manager Assistant. The Case Manager department at TASK works one-on-one with the individuals who use our services.  We assist in a variety of ways including helping people obtain identification, find housing, apply for benefits, get medical help, etc. This position would also work alongside our Patron Services staff to support TASK programming including hygiene kit distribution, assistance with phone/fax/mail, coordinating holiday events, etc.

Expected Achievements:

Assist with Case Management

  • Assist patrons with obtaining birth certificates and other forms of identification
  • Assist with other items, e.g. furniture vouchers

Assist in Patron Services office when needed

  • Assist with distributions of hygiene kits, pain relievers, items donated to patrons
  • Assist patrons with phone calls, faxes, and copies.
  • Assist with distributions of additional or different food items to patrons
  • Assist with distribution of patron mail

Coordinate Programs that focus on serving our patrons who are in families with young children or teenagers

  • Coordinate the Adopt-a-Family program
  • Coordinate the Thanksgiving-at-Home program
  • Coordinate the “Toy Room” gift distribution at the end of the calendar year
  • Research/create new potential programs that may benefit this segment of our population
  • Coordinate Youth Against Hunger Club

Assist with Quality of Life Programs

  • Coordinate First Impression Haircutting Program
  • Coordinate Portrait Project

Participation in full agency operations:

  • Patron mail is distributed in a careful and timely manner
  • Reports are prepared accurately and on time
  • When necessary, collaboration is established with volunteer coordination for donation distribution
  • Assistance is provided to gather content for social media outreach
  • Represent TASK at community meetings/events as assigned
  • Other related duties as approved by the Case Manager

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and speak appropriately to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to diverse populations
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred

Required Credentials:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or three years’ experience in related field
