Department: Development and Community Relations

Classification:  Coordinator/Professional Services

Functional Title: Digital Media Specialist  

Expected Achievements:

The Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for supporting a variety of communications activities, with a focus on producing content and building engagement across our website, email lists, social media channels and limited advertising campaigns.

Responsible for analytics related to digital performance, including reporting of analytics and recommendations for change of strategy. Self-motivation, flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to successfully handle multiple projects are essential to this position.

Duties:

  • Coordinate digital and social media marketing campaigns and direct mail pieces, including copy-writing, content creation, design, and execution
  • Craft strategic and creatively effective project briefs and timelines
  • Manage and execute social media platforms day-to-day (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms)
  • Assist in management of TASK website, including the creation of landing pages and fresh content
  • Curate, write, and edit DWC blog content
  • With Manager, will work to coordinate all digital campaigns from conception to project completion
  • Manage Google AdWords and other direct marketing/pay-per-click
  • Use digital analytic tools to effectively monitor, track, and report results
  • Aid in guaranteeing the consistent use of brand identity and messaging across the organization by ensuring digital campaigns stay on message
  • As assigned, attend events that will increase engagement of donors and volunteers

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-motivation, flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to successfully handle multiple projects are essential to this position. Ability to read and speak appropriately to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to work as member of a team.
  • Familiarity with aspects of digital media, primarily websites and social media
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort in showing initiative, making recommendations and hearing constructive feedback

Required Credentials:

  • Preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or a minimum of an Associate’s Degree or two years of college education and experience.

Lines of Authority:

Responsible to: Manager, Development and Community Relations

Compensation:

Salary range: Professional Services

Schedule:

Part time 21 hours a week to start, with potential to increase to full time hours.

Special Circumstances:

Service may be required at special events, including occasional holidays or weekends.
