NJ Anti-Hunger Coalition Takes SNAP to TASK

With budget cuts to programs like ‘Heat and Eat,’ some New Jersey families are increasingly having to choose between paying rent, electricity, child care or food.

On Wednesday October 29th, at 12pm, the New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition will host a press conference at TASK to highlight hunger in New Jersey with a focus on the consequences of the ‘Heat and Eat’ Program cuts and the application processing times for SNAP.

TASK has been working with the New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition to ensure that approximately 160,000 New Jersey households do not lose, or see a reduction in their SNAP benefits.

If you are interested in attending the press conference, please contact J Steinhauer, TASK Development & Community Relations Coordinator at 609.695.5456 ext. 108.
