From the Desk of the Executive Director
As we start to see the leaves change, we are also seeing more and more patrons coming to TASK. But thanks to our collaborations with local nonprofits, we are working together to raise awareness and meet the needs of the community we serve.
This Wednesday, TASK is hosting a press event with the New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition to address the recent SNAP benefits/Food Stamp cuts. In addition, I have also met with local non-profit executives and Mayor Jackson to better address the needs of the city and strengthen relationships between Trenton and its nonprofits.
I hope you can join us this Wednesday at 12pm in support of our neighbors who are hungry.

NJ Anti-Hunger Coalition Takes SNAP to TASK
With budget cuts to programs like ‘Heat and Eat,’ some New Jersey families are increasingly having to choose between paying rent, electricity, child care or food.
On Wednesday October 29th, at 12pm, the New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition will host a press conference at TASK to highlight hunger in New Jersey with a focus on the consequences of the ‘Heat and Eat’ Program cuts and the application processing times for SNAP.
