Weekend Meal Service at Other Organizations
20 ways to help TASK

The cornerstone of the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) is our volunteers. Our volunteers help prepare and serve meals, stock and maintain our food pantry, and pick up food from the local food bank as well as food donations from area stores. Many volunteers also tutor in our Adult Education Program. In addition, our volunteer Board of Trustees skillfully guides TASK policy with our patrons in mind.

More than 3,500 individuals volunteer at TASK annually. Our volunteers include individuals, high school and college students, employees of area companies, members of civic and community groups, and congregants from area churches, mosques, and synagogues. There truly are not enough ways to thank the multitude of TASK’s excellent volunteers!

Our volunteers make TASK a very special place, where patrons are treated with dignity and warmth. They greatly help strive to achieve our mission: respond to the needs of the hungry people in Trenton area by providing meals, promoting self‐sufficiency, and advocating for awareness and resources.
Thank you to the contribution of our volunteers, TASK has earned its sixth consecutive 4 star rating by Charity Navigator, the premier charity evaluator. This highly coveted 4 star rating is the highest rating awarded. Thanks volunteers!
Thank you for volunteering your time with us! We hope that you feel your time spent at TASK was fulfilling. If you have any questions concerning TASK, please feel free to contact us.
