What I am grateful for and why

I am grateful that God has given me another chance at life. It has been four years since I have been home on Thanksgiving. Even though I am locked up, I still make the best of my days.

I remember when I didn’t care about God or anything else in life. It took me getting locked up to see that God was the only way. I am so grateful that I have this time away. It has made me a better person.

I got locked up a month before Thanksgiving four years ago. We all sit around a table and told stuff about our family and how we wish were were there.

They say that it’s not a good thing to make friends in jail or prison however I have a new family. And I am grateful to all the women I met over the last four years. I will spend tomorrow with them and be grateful that I am alive.

May God continue to bless me and my new family.
